The New Addition: Robert Pattinson as Scytale

The biggest buzz surrounds the entry of Robert Pattinson into the Dune universe. He is reportedly set to play the villainous Scytale, a member of the Bene Tleilax and a Master of Faces (a Face Dancer). This shapeshifting antagonist is a key player in the political machinations of Dune Messiah, making him a formidable foe for Paul Atreides.

What to Expect: Adapting ‘Dune Messiah’

Dune: Part 3 adapts Frank Herbert’s novel Dune Messiah. The story is set approximately 12 years after the events of Dune: Part Two. Paul Atreides is now the Emperor, but his reign is far from peaceful. He faces a vast conspiracy from political and religious factions who seek to overthrow him, forcing him to make unimaginable sacrifices.

With Denis Villeneuve returning to direct, and a cast at the peak of their powers, Dune: Part 3 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated cinematic events of the year.
