Bengaluru, India – Yash’s much-anticipated gangster action drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has crossed the ₹30-crore mark in domestic advance bookings, collecting ₹32.52 crore (including blocked seats) with over 6 lakh tickets sold, according to Sacnilk data. With two days to go before its August 26 release, the film is expected to see further growth, though hitting the ₹100-crore mark in pre-sales appears unlikely at the current pace. The advance booking pace trails that of Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, which remains the bigger benchmark for the actor.

Karnataka is emerging as the strongest market, accounting for ₹15.51 crore across languages, with Bengaluru contributing ₹9.64 crore in Kannada alone. Maharashtra follows with ₹2.99 crore, Delhi with ₹2.09 crore, Uttar Pradesh with ₹1.62 crore, and West Bengal with ₹1.60 crore. The film is also attracting bookings for its Hindi 4DX shows, with NCR recording ₹9.5 lakh and Bengaluru ₹4.64 lakh. In the Telugu version, Bengaluru has collected ₹9.16 lakh, while Chennai leads the Tamil market with ₹23.73 lakh. In Malayalam, Kochi has recorded ₹7.19 lakh.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair. The film has received an A certificate from the CBFC and will release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The English version will have a separate international distribution arrangement with Lionsgate. While the current advance is sizeable, the final 48 hours are crucial, and trade observers will be watching for a late surge, particularly in Karnataka.
